We loved it so much we dedicated an entire product to it.

Yep, believe it or not our brand actually launched with just a single product... a facial moisturizer called Bubble Tea Steam Cream, inspired by the beloved Asian drink. In fact, it was the world's first bubble tea moisturiser. 

What Is a Boba Cream?

Simple. It's a face cream inspired by boba, the drink.

If you've been seeing viral boba creams, bubble tea creams and Korean moisturisers all over social media lately, this is our take on the trend: a hydrating face cream that looks rich and milky, feels deliciously cushiony and gives your skin a nourishing drink of hydration.

In other words, it captures everything people love about bubble tea skincare: the fun, the comfort, the creamy texture and the indulgent experience.

But true to Jelly Ko form, it is not just cute. It is functional too.

How We Made Our Boba Cream

So how did we do it?

Glad you asked.

Our brand concept is all about putting the "fun" in functional skincare. So we don't just want to create pretty products, we want something that works.

With over a decade of experience in the Korean beauty industry at the time our product launched, it made sense that we looked to the best in the beauty industry to bring our dream to life.

To come up with our unique formula our Seoul-based team worked for about a year with a leading group of cosmetic chemists in Korea.

We developed everything from the formula to the design, box and packaging, utilizing cutting-edge Korean beauty technology and innovation.

The whole process took a year before we finally launched our boba face cream in September 2020.

Who Can Use the Boba Cream?

Our boba face cream formula is suitable for a wide variety of skin types from dull, rough, dry and dehydrated skin to mature skin.

That is all thanks to the superior ingredients, including:

• Grapeseed oil, which is hydrating and moisturizing, suitable for both mature skin and acne-prone skin types;
• Borage seed oil, which is rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid that helps maintain the skin's barrier function and improve hydration;
• Beta Glucan, an antioxidant known to be more hydrating for the skin than hyaluronic acid;
• Vitamin E, which protects the skin from free radicals;
• Arginine, Allantoin and Adenosine, which have anti-aging and skin soothing functions; and
• Sodium hyaluronate, the stronger and more powerful cousin to hyaluronic acid.

So while it might look like a fun bubble tea moisturiser, the formula itself contains over 10 different active ingredients and is built to do serious work for dry, dull, perimenopausal, dehydrated and mature skin.
