Our Best of 2024

 

As the year comes to a close it's time to take a walk down memory lane with a closer look at some of the things we achieved. 2024 was a huge year for our small business, winning beauty awards, increasing our distribution channels across the world and growing our skin care collection. Here's what we got up to this year: 

 

April 

In April, we celebrated our first offline launch in Australia at Jadin Pharmacy. Offering our products in even more places remains one of our key goals and this took us one step further to reaching that! 

 

June

In June, we launched our first ever serums, White Truffle Souffle Serum & Be Jelly Overnight Dream Serum. After nearly 2 years in pre-production we were excited to finally share our concept of "jelly skin" in serum form, with a collection of serums that are perfect to use together for skin cycling

The boxes are thoughtfully made from recycled paper and printed using soy ink. Both serum jars are also made of glass, for easier recycling. 

 

July 

July was undoubtedly one of the biggest months for our team. We launched our first ever refill packs for our two serums, further cementing our commitment to growing sustainably as a beauty brand. Refills not only help us but also our customers to:

  • significantly cut down on single use platic
  • reduce carbon emissions in transit; 
  • cut the cost of buying skincare.

 Jelly Ko's Cinnamon Toast Sugar Scrub Foam

August

Our Cherry Blossom Sleeping Mask sold out globally in the first half of 2024, after winning Prevention Beauty's Best of Beauty Award at the end of 2023. As a result, we got to work on a new batch and end up upgrading our formula in the process.

The upgraded version of Cherry Blossom Sleeping Mask launched in August with eco-friendly packaging, more product for less and a new star ingredient, Ectoin.

 

September

In September, due to popular demand we launched a refill for our Dewy Glaze Toner. As this is one of our most repurchased products, adding a refill to our collection helps our customers cut down on over 90% of single-use plastic with a lightweight product that's quick and easy to use.  

 

 

October

In October, we were blown away to discover that one of our products was again selected by Prevention Magazine as a "Best of Beauty" Award winner. 

This time it was our Gelato Glaze Lip Mask's turn, taking home "Best Lip Glaze" among a fierce category filled with globally famous beauty brands. The judging panel said:

"Its buttery texture and beautiful gloss make this lip mask a winner for round-the-clock wear, whether you want smooth, kissable lips by day or an effective lip mask at night. 
Packed with goodness, including nine essential amino acids to support healthy skin, along with decadent oils and butters, it's an exceptional formula, elevated by the miniature gold butter knife it comes with for application - adorable."

 

November 

In November, we were excited to celebrated our next launch in the USA, this time at ecosmetics.com. We are so thankful that our newest retailer decided to partner with us. We look forward to introducing our products to even more customers in the US! 

eCosmetics ships out of the East Coast, which means our products are now easily accessible to customers on both sides of the country. Our US warehouse is located in Idaho. 

     

    December

    To finish off the year, we fulfilled our commitment to 1% for the Planet, donating to WWF’s Adopt a Platypus appeal and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. 1% for the Planet is an important global organization leading a network of businesses, nonprofits and individuals who share the common belief that people have a responsibility to help protect our planet. 

    Every time you shop with Jelly Ko or our mother company, STYLE STORY, you help support our planet. 

    That's because we donate a portion of the revenue from your purchase to enviromental charities. In 2023, our two charities were the WWF and Great Barrier Reef FOundation. 

    In 2024, we reached out to our community to find out about the causes that matterered most to them. The results were overwhelming. They voted in favour of continuing our contributions to the same charities.
